The Start of Evil Lady Macbeth by William Shakespeare

The Start of Evil Macbeth is a play written by William Shakespeare in the 1600 century. It is one of Shakespeare’s most well known tragedies, and continues to be studied to this day. It is a dark and gloomy play, as the main character, Macbeth, gets a taste for evil and kills the king of Scotland, King Duncan, in order to become king himself. After this moment there is a rapid increase of evil in him, as he starts to kill more and more people who upset him or are a threat to the throne. One of the play’s most important scenes is when Macbeth murders King Duncan, this scene is essential to the remainder of the play and how it unfolds. This murder scene contributes to the play in terms of plot development, it exposes and develops the†¦show more content†¦He sends murderers over to MacDuff’s house to murder his, â€Å"wife, children, servants, all that could be found† (IV.III.210-215). Macbeth is not upset at MacDuff’s family, but at MacDuff himself for n ot approving him as king. This shows that Macbeth is now 100% evil and has no regrets for what he is doing. He kills like it doesn’t mean anything, and believes that it is the solution to all his problems. This killing spree can all be traced back to the moment when he killed Duncan, from that point on Macbeth changed. The characters of Lady Macbeth and Macbeth evolve significantly throughout the play. At the beginning of the play, Macbeth is a courageous soldier who was rewarded with becoming Thane of Cawdor, however evolved to become evil through the witches’ prophecies and by Lady Macbeth’s persuasion for him to take the throne. Lady Macbeth questions his masculinity by asking him whether he is a man, â€Å"When you durst do it, then you were a man† (I.VII.49). Through the strong power of Lady Macbeth’s influence on Macbeth she is able to pressure him to do what her bidding. Lady Macbeth was the ignition at the start of the play for Macbeth to kill, but after that he continues to murder out of his own will. Ben and Luke set off on a journey to save the universe from Dart Voodoo and destroy his home planet the Death Star named so because of its power to completely obliterate entire planets. Ben and Luke hire a pilot to fly them to the distant Death Sta r where they plan to rescue a princess. Luke is almost killed but he escapes the danger, however Ben is killed by Dart Voodoo in the process. Luke and his pilot rescue the princess and take her to her home planet where she organizes a fleet of star ships to destroy the Death Star. The fleet of star ships arrives at the Death Star and about % if the fleet is personally destroyed by Dart Evader himself. Only Luke Jaywalker is left when he shots tat weak whole in the Death Star and completely obliterates it. After temporarily defeating his enemy he sets off to return the princess to her home planet and receive a reward for his bravery. Length of the thesis statement Essays and other works might seem overwhelming to you at first and most writers or students make a common mistake by writing thesis statements that are too long. This happens because the length of essays makes them believe they should take a lot of time and space to elaborate their thesis as well. This is a trap! Type of claim you should use in your thesis statement depends on your audience, overall approach to a topic, knowledge of the topic etc. Constructing a thesis To construct a strong thesis statement you should: Analyze primary sources – look for tension, ambiguity, controversy or other complications regarding the essay topic Write down your ideas – you can either write down entire thesis statement or you can list useful info you come across while completing the step above. Use info you wrote as guidelines to create a powerful thesis statement Keep thesis prominent in the introduction – it shouldn’t be strategically placed at the end of introductory paragraph Anticipate counterarguments – once you come up with your thesis think about what the essay reader(s) could say against it, in case they don’t agree. Then, refine the thesis in order to strengthen your argument. Remember, it should make people wonder and debate. How to create thesis statement when topic is assigned In most cases your professor or client will assign you a certain topic that you should analyze. Here, you have to divide the assignment into a specific question that you’d like to discuss throughout the essay. Let’s say your assignment is â€Å"Write a report to the local school board explaining potential benefits of using multimedia approach in third-grade class.† Then, choose one or two questions your essay will answer such as: What are the potential benefits of using multimedia approach in third-grade class? The answer to your question is your thesis statement. How to create thesis statement when topic is not assigned Sometimes you won’t have specific essay topic or title and you’ll have to come up with your work, its course and argument etc. or maybe you’ll get a title but it doesn’t ask some specific question that you could use to come up with thesis statement. When this happens, your job is to come up with the question yourself. Ideally, you should take on a subject of thesis statement that some people would agree while others would disagree with. When topic isn’t assigned (or there’s no question you should discuss) you can also follow the rules from constructing a thesis section. Have I taken the question that others might oppose or challenge? Is my thesis specific enough? Would my thesis pass the â€Å"So what† test?
